Standard Description of the Scotch Fancy Canary  Style, Nerve and Travelling Well raised up, forming a high circle. Bold, free and jaunty carriage with plenty of life and action. Position Body long and tapering, curved in the form of a half circle, convex above and concave below, with a clean outline feather being close, short and tight. Legs well set back and thighs just visible. Shoulders and Back Shoulders set high, narrow and well rounded, showing no depression between the wing butts. Long, narrow, well filled back curving from shoulders to tail. Head and Neck Small, neat snaky head with long, tapering neck. Size Approximately 17 cm Quality and Condition Clean and healthy, perfect condition. All colours are allowed except red. Tail Long, narrow, closely folded and well curved under the perch.

Furthermore the wrong size of the ring, a dirty bird or cage, as well as characters on the cage are reasons for an exclusion.
